I still have the problem and I see someone else also has it. 

I have a new computer and it does not have the problem so I have lost interest in the problem . I will be unsubscribing from the issue.

OK. My own marvelous Brother MFC-L2740DW duplex printer/scanner/copier/fax never puts updates there - it takes them in through its own interface. I'd have said to un/re-install the printer. Also, maybe to look at...

"R-Clk START, System, Advanced system settings, Hardware tab, Device Installation Settings button"...

But some have said clicking "No" there won't work anyway.

How to temporarily prevent a driver update from reinstalling in Windows 10

(a) The driver must be uninstalled first, or it won't show up in WUShowHide.

(b) It blocks the download, but - if one is in the works - it will install just once more even after it is blocked.

(c) If a new driver comes in with a different version number, it will not be blocked.
