Debian 10.1.0 was released on September 7, 2019, it is the first update release of Debian 10, preceded by 10.0.0, and was available for desktop / laptop computers and servers. 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86-64) versions are available, and ten computer architecture ports are officially supported. Compared to previous release, this Debian update mainly adds corrections for security issues, along with a few adjustments for serious problems.
Debian 10 will be supported for the next 5 years.

General information from Debian
Debian is a free and open source Linux operating system designed primarily for desktop / laptop computers and servers. This is one of the first (or oldest) distributions in Linux's history, and the first version was released in 1993. Debian has over 51,000 software packages (pre-compiled packages) which can be easily installed on the system using commands, or any graphical software. The default installation of Debian on desktop computers comes with many graphical applications (most of them are free and open source) such as Firefox Web Browser, LibreOffice, VLC Media Player, GIMP Image Editor, and Evense Document Viewer. Overall, Debian is made up of basic software programs and utilities.

Minimum for Debian 10 Buster (desktop):
- 1 GHz of processor.
- 550MB MB RAM.
- 10 GB disk space.
Installation Instructions
Starting installer in PC (via USB)
Follow the steps given below:
- Download the Debian 10.1 Live ISO image file from the download section.
- Install a USB bootable creation software (such as Rufus) on your Windows PC.
- Plug in a USB flash drive (at least 8-16 GB of space) with your PC.
- Open the USB bootable creation software, and select the ISO image file of Debian 10.1, and start the process.
- As soon as done, plug the bootable USB into a system where you want to install Debian 10.1.
- Restart the computer.
- Press the boot device menu key and select USB to boot first.
- Select USB device and start the Debian 10.1 installer.
Starting installer in VMware
- Download the Debian 10.1 Live ISO image file from the download section.
- Launch the VMware Player, and start creating a new virtual machine.
- Select the ISO image file of Debian 10.1, and use VM configuration according to the system requirements.
- Start the virtual machine and go to the Debian 10.1 installer.
Starting installer in VirtualBox
- Download the Debian 10.1 Live ISO image file from the download section.
- Launch the Virtualbox application on your computer, and start creating a new virtual machine.
- Select Debian and use VM configuration according to the system requirements.
- Start VM and when it asks to select the Host Drive, then select the downloaded Debian 10.1 ISO file in step 1.

As soon as you go to the Debian boot menu, follow the steps given below:
- Select the Live option and press Enter.
- Check the operating system in the live session, and if you are ready to install, simply search 'install' and select 'Install Debian' installer.
- If you have any problems in the live session, you can also go directly to 'Graphical Debian Installer' from the boot menu.
- Choose language, region, keyboard layout, etc.
- Follow the on-screen installation.
- Set the Root Password.
- For clean installation, select 'Guided - use entire disk' in the disk partition screen. (Warning - Clean installation will remove all other operating systems installed on the computer)
- Go ahead and choose 'yes' when it asks for format the partition.
- Wait while Debian 10 is installed on your computer.
- As soon as the process is complete, restart the system.
- Log in to Debian and enjoy the operating system.
