What exactly are you trying to install? According to the description of the "Brookstone Slide and Negative scanner," it is a stand-alone device that scans slides and negatives and saves the converted images to an SD card.
Ultra-fast, one-second scans--no computer needed. Our Instant Slide & Negative Scanner captures
each image in crisp, 180 dpi resolution, and saves them directly to a standard SD memory card (not included).

If you're having difficulty uploading images from the SD card to your laptop, see the directions below or simply remove the SD card from the scanner and insert it into the card reader slot on your laptop (I assume that you actually have a Pavilion X360 -- but HP makes quite a number of different versions of the Pavilion X360; for further help here, please provide the specific model you have and also indicate which version of Windows you have).

Thanks, but it is the Brookstone Scanner that worked on old computer but is not supported by new 10 . We called Brookstone and they verified this just today. They do not carry anymore drivers for this😂😂
This device does not have SD slot to download.
will have to break down and buy new one.
