You may try the hardware troubleshooter to fix the issue
The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which will check the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues with it and provides the details and on how to fix them. Follow these steps and run the troubleshooter.
Follow these steps:
- Press Windows key to get the Start menu.
- Type Troubleshooting.
- Click on Troubleshooting.
- Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
- Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
- Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

I have managed to get this working as USB audio interface on my laptop which recently got upgraded to Windows 10.
I had to manually install the H/F Series ASIO Driver from https://www.zoom.co.jp/products/field-video-recording/field-recording/h4n-pro-handy-recorder#downloads first. The driver I have is version 3.0.1.5. It takes a while to detect the H4n when first plugged into the USB port but eventually works fine.
On another laptop we have, the same driver does not seem to work. There is a flicker when the H4n is first plugged into the USB port but it doesn't seem to register it as a recording device.
