Mod Support Coming To Cities: Skylines Xbox One Edition
Cities: Skylines, the city builder that is carrying the SimCity legacy, may be known mostly as a PC title but it is also now available on consoles. The console versions are slowly getting features seen first on PC and the latest update adds one of its best features: mod support.
Mod support is only announced for the Xbox One edition so far, and from the announcement page, will be including some well-known and popular assets such by modders Quad, who specialises in futuristic building assets and Gula, a former SimCity 2013 developer. Wackier assets like giant hamster buildings, because why not, will also be available when the feature launches today.
So far it will only include assets that change the look of your cities. No word whether gameplay-changing mods like the popular Traffic++ and Tree Brush will make it.
Cities: Skylines was first ported to the Xbox One in April last year, with the PS4 version released in July (and only been made available in Playstation Store Asia in December).
