Bitvise SSH Client: Free SSH file transfer, terminal and tunneling Bitvise software does not contain ads, install product bundles or collect user data for sale. In a local terminal the following commands can be used to: (provided your have an active connection to the cluster and your ssh config file is set or use the up and down arrows on the toolbar to upload and download files. Once connected to a server, you can interact with files and folders anywhere on the remote filesystem. Install an OpenSSH compatible SSH client if one is not already present. Opening a terminal on the remote host from VS Code is simple.

- Using your institution's assigned username, enter the following command: sftp [username]@[data center] (link to data centers on Get Started)
- Enter your institution's assigned password
- Choose directory (see directory folders): Enter cd [directory name or path]
- To retrieve files, enter get*
- Enter quit
