An automated version 2.3 upgrade is available through the DMPE Software Manager (FlexNet) for DMPE version 2.2 customers.
Customers currently running DMPE version 2.2 (build 12.52.350.048) can upgrade to version 2.3 with this service pack.
There is no direct upgrade path from DMPE version 1.0 or from DMPE 2.x versions older than version 2.2.
Customers using a version older than version 2.2 must first upgrade to DMPE version 2.2.

This build replaces DMPE 2.3 build 12.53.350.032 and corrects an issue with the DMPE Software Manager (FlexNet) where after the DMPE 2.3 update was installed, FlexNet still considered the updated install to be DMPE 2.2.

Note: Some customers have reported that the automated upgrade process failed leaving the desktop shortcut and occasionally corrupting the installation. In this case, running a repair on the installation and then updating to v2.3 again resolves this issue. Instead, for prevention, manually download the v2.3 patch, exit DMPE, and then install the patch as an administrator This issue is suspected to be caused by a security setting at the customer site that prohibits the DMPE Software Manager from working properly.
