Is Nexus Mod Manager meant to be incredibly slow?
I live in Australia so maybe it's a connection to the servers thing, but i'm getting a 109kb/s / 1024kb, so it's taking forever to download mods for Fallouts and Skyrim. Some mods go higher than the average of 100kb, but it's still slow regardless.
Misread the number, the reason you're getting crap speeds is because the non-premium Nexus servers are crap and frequently have connection issues. They don't care unless you pay.

No, its just the servers. Sometimes they're fine and you get max speeds even if you're a free member, other times they're just slow because there's too many people downloading at the same time or the servers are just slow for some reason.

Mine goes at 300KB's and you can be sure I don't pay for that.

On an unrelated note, if you're modding Skyrim you're better off using Mod Organizer. Look up the STEP project to get started.

I buy premium whenever I'm doing a fresh install. Premium speeds are terrible too, at least now they are (It seems as if I used to get faster speeds on premium at the time they had less servers). It caps at 1MB/s for me, you would think they would give you at least 10 times that..
I like to do everything manually; keeps clutter down on parts of mods I'll never use, and I know where everything is if I want to change something (I like to mod the mods sometimes to make them the way I like).
But I suppose the real issue isn't he mod manager itself, it's the crappy servers the mods are hosted on.

I feel a draft on my butt...
I've found the servers to be slow at some times and "fast enough" at others. I don't use it enough to make it worth paying for so I just deal with the times that it's slow, or I try again some other time.
